Biography

Hardy Singh is Executive Director and Regional Head of Surveillance (AML and Fraud) at DBS Bank. Prior to joining DBS, he has held senior leadership roles, overseeing multiple financial crime compliance disciplines and leading large cross-functional teams across jurisdictions. He brings international financial crime exposure across Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.

With over 22 years of financial services experience, he has deep expertise in AML/CFT and fraud surveillance, intelligence-led investigations and operational risk management.

Hardy has been instrumental in leveraging digital innovation to transform the way financial crime surveillance teams operate, scaling surveillance capabilities to better detect and prevent financial crime, strengthen risk management, and create additional capacity through agentic AI and other technology-enabled solutions.

Hardy plays an active role in Singapore’s financial crime ecosystem, co-chairing the MAS-led COSMIC (Collaborative Sharing of ML/TF Information Cases) Operations Workgroup and representing DBS at ACIP (AML/CFT Industry Partnership) workgroups on terrorist financing, risk surveillance and case-specific intelligence sharing. A recognised thought leader, Hardy regularly shares his insights and experience at local and international forums.

Hardy holds a Bachelor of Computing (Network Computing) degree from Monash University, Australia, and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
