During my time in Singapore, both in my exective role as the head of a large asset management business and in my role as Head of IMAS, I was very supportive of IBF's initiative to further develop the abilities of those in the finance sector through the IBF certification programme. Given the ever increasing demands placed on the finance sector the need for those employed within it to continue to formally develop their skills is more important than ever.
