Biography

Selena has played a distinctive role in the development of Singapore’s financial industry through her contributions to economic research, financial markets and policy thought leadership. She leads a multidisciplinary bank research team that supports clients, market participants, and policymakers in navigating an increasingly complex global environment, drawing on her extensive experience through multiple economic and financial crises to provide trusted perspectives.  

Beyond her research which are widely followed across Singapore and the region, Selena is deeply committed to mentoring and developing young economists and aspiring analysts, helping them bridge the gap between theory and practice while building confidence in applying macroeconomic and financial market insights. She is especially passionate about making complex economic concepts more accessible, encouraging others to think beyond models and better understand how economics shapes businesses and society.
