Biography
Yap Aye Wee is Head of Group Learning and Transformation at OCBC, where she leads workforce transformation, learning and capability development across the Group's markets in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Bank of Singapore. With more than 18 years in the financial services sector and over three decades of leadership experience, she is recognised for advancing skill-first workforce transformation, lifelong employability and AI-enabled talent development.
A respected practitioner and thought leader, Aye Wee has played a pivotal role in shaping industry and national workforce initiatives. She was a key contributor to the Institute of Banking and Finance's Future Skills Accelerator Platform, helping translate Singapore's skills-first agenda into practical solutions that strengthen workforce mobility and resilience. She also serves on several national and industry bodies, including the IBF Future-enabled Skills Workgroup, SkillsFuture Singapore's Skills Advisory Panel, the Institute for Human Resource Professionals committees, and the Tripartite Workgroup on Human Capital Capability Building.
Beyond her organisational role, Aye Wee actively contributes to the development of the financial industry through mentoring, thought leadership, professional standards-setting and capability-building initiatives. Her work has helped strengthen workforce readiness, HR professionalisation and human capital practices across the financial services sector, supporting Singapore's long-term competitiveness as a global financial centre.
