Overview
2022 was the year in which the world woke up to geopolitical risk. Banks are particularly exposed, both through their own and their customers’ operations. While banks have long been required to have sophisticated risk functions, geopolitical risk has traditionally had a relatively low profile. Now that it can be clearly seen as an upstream risk for most of the risks which banks routinely monitor, banks and their boards need to develop more sophisticated conceptual frameworks for addressing it as well as clear accountable structures for day -to-day geopolitical risk management.
Join us for this insightful webinar, jointly organised with the London Institute of Banking and Finance, as we explore:
- The political risks a bank faces
- The impact of political risk on a bank and its clients
- Who has responsibility for political risk management in a bank
- Governance - the role of boards and senior management
- The tools available to manage political risk
