Financial Adviser CPD

Financial Adviser CPD

Appointed representatives of financial advisers are expected to undergo structured training in Ethics or Rules and Regulations as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement. Only training programmes on Ethics and Rules and Regulations that are accredited by IBF or Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) under the Financial Adviser CPD (FA CPD) scheme can be counted towards the fulfilment of this criteria.

IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS)

IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS)

The IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS) offers funding for training and assessment courses that equip individuals with key skills in the financial sector, as outlined in the Skills Framework for Financial Services (SFwFS). This scheme is open to both self-sponsored individuals and company-sponsored individuals, providing opportunities for professional development and growths.

Financial Training Scheme (FTS)

Financial Training Scheme (FTS)

The Financial Training Scheme (FTS) provides funding for financial sector-specific training courses which are recognised under FTS and are not accredited under the Skills Framework for Financial Services (SFwFS).

This scheme is only available for company-sponsored individuals.

Core FAA/SFA CPD

Core FAA/SFA CPD

Appointed representatives are expected to undergo continuing education so as to keep abreast of developments in the financial advisory industry and update their skills and knowledge in relation to the type of financial advisory services they provide.

You may apply for Core FAA / SFA CPD programme recognition if you are a financial institution regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, an institute of higher learning under the Ministry of Education or an Eligible Organisation approved by the IBF.
